The American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is the world’s largest technical society dedicated to the global aerospace profession. With more than 35,000 individual members worldwide, and 90 corporate members, AIAA brings together industry, academia, and government to advance engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense.

The Rocky Mountain Section represents over 1,200 of AIAA’s engineers and scientists in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana.

The goal of the Annual Technical Symposium, is to bring together the regional leaders, technical experts, and academia in the aerospace and aeronautics industry. ATS is a forum to help shape the future of the industry, a place for people in all stages of their career to gather, network, and collaborate. It is a place to learn a new process, gather inspiration, and make the connection to turn that inspiration into reality.

Now in its 8th year, ATS has continued the tradition of partnering with a university in the Rocky Mountain region to help incorporate the next generation of engineers. Prior university hosts have included; The University of Colorado, Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP), MSU Denver, Colorado School of Mines, and UCCS.
