Notes from the Chair

It’s been a minute…

Our newsletter has not been seen in a minute, but that does not mean the work has stopped. Colorado Aerospace has been busy growing and developing, as well as supporting our local communities. CSBR conducted a very successful first Virtual Road Trip, where we “visited” Ft. Lewis College in Durango as well as a virtual tour and test demo with Agile Space Industries.  Ft. Lewis College’s enrollment is just over half students of color, with 47% being Native American.  We had the opportunity to tour their new launched Innovation Center to allow students exposure to the Aerospace industry not just through STEM studies but also the business activities that support the industry. We look forward to working with Ft. Lewis College and our other academic partners to enrich Colorado Aerospace.

CSBR celebrates all the diversity that makes our community successful –  the diversity of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, and culture. Today, June 19th, is the official celebration of Juneteenth.  It is also a celebration of Pride Month. I hope you take time to learn about and celebrate both of these events.
