NASA SBIR/STTR Request for Information (RFI)

NASA's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Program posted a Request for Information (RFI) Notice through FedBizOps to solicit feedback on the Program and the Program Year (PY) 2017 SBIR/STTR Solicitation. Additionally, through this RFI, NASA seeks ideas on potential new subtopics for consideration in the development of the PY 2018 Solicitation.

Small businesses and industry are highly encouraged to participate in this RFI, which will provide the opportunity to:

  • Share your feedback and ideas that may benefit the stakeholders of NASA's SBIR/STTR and impact the development of the PY 2018 SBIR/STTR Solicitation.
  • Submit high value ideas that may result in an invitation to present or participate in the upcoming NASA SBIR/STTR Workshop planned for June 2017.
  • Network and develop partnerships by sharing contact information with other RFI participants through the Networking opt-in option available from the RFI submission form.

Through this RFI, NASA is also requesting feedback regarding programmatic processes with a focus on the solicitation process, outreach, post Phase-II Initiatives, and other areas.

The RFI will be open for submissions between January 23 and February 28, 2017 through the NASA SBIR/STTR Electronic Handbook (EHB): https://sbir.gsfc.nasa.gov/submissions/rfi/login. A notice to respond to the RFI has been posted on FedBizOps, and is attached as well.
